Family Animal Services wants you to understand the different kinds of cremation options that are available to you.  Whether you have decided to cremate through your veterinarian or through the crematory, you will need to decide what type of cremation is the right choice for you and your pet.  See below to better understand the process and what takes place when you have made this decision.

Individual Cremation

When you choose to do an individual cremation, your pet alone will be placed in the cremation chamber.  When the cremation process has been completed, your pets cremains are removed from the chamber, processed and then are available to you.

Viewing Cremation

A Viewing Cremation is a similar process to a Individual Cremation as described above, however, the pet owner along with friends and family are allowed to be in the viewing room during the cremation process.

Communal Cremation

By choosing this alternative, your pet will be cremated along with other pets and you will be unable to receive the cremains after the process.

After Cremation

A standard urn is provided for those who are taking their remains home to keep, bury or spread.  You also have the option of placing your pet’s remains in a special urn of your choice. We have several memorial products and urns for you to select from including standard urns, jewelry and stone plaque memorials.  You may be surprised at the ways you can remember your beloved and faithful pet.
